ARTICLE 1


In order to stimulate the original scientific creation in the field of management, as well as to support the professional development of the young researchers, The Romanian Academic Society of Management awards two annual prizes, as follows:

  1. RASM Award for best management book,
  2. RASM Award for the best doctoral thesis.

Thus, the original scientific works of high academic value are rewarded, which highlight the creativity and ability of the authors to contribute substantially to the development of management as a science, as well as to the professionalization of the management practiced in Romania.

ARTICLE 2


The proposal for awarding the prizes is made by at least one founding member, senior member or honorary member and is accompanied by at least two referral reports from two other RAMS members.

ARTICLE 3


The eligibility conditions for the award of the two awards refer to:

  1. RASM Award for best management book:
    The work was published during the year for which the award is given,

 

  1. RASM Award for best doctoral thesis:
    The doctoral thesis was defended during the year for which the award is given,

The doctoral thesis falls into the doctoral fields: management, engineering and management

ARTICLE 4


The prizes are granted by decision of the RASM Board of Management, taking into account the following criteria:
RASM Award for best management book:

  • Scientific rigor
  • Contribution to the development of knowledge in the field of management and / or managerial practice
  • The interest expressed in the academic environment as well as in the economic-social environment
  • The prestige of the publishing house under which the book is published.
  • The prestige of scientific references (based on their CV)
  • The extent to which the author is affiliated with a prestigious university / institution / organization.
  • The extent to which the content is illustrated in a balanced way through figures and tables, in accordance with the thematic approach.
  • The variety of bibliographic references and the rigor of the citation style used.
  • The quality of the language and the extent to which it is appropriate to the target audience
  • Other prizes awarded to the book, before the moment of evaluation (Romanian Academy Award, prizes of different professional organizations, etc.)
    RASM Award for best doctoral thesis:
  • The novelty of the theme addressed,
  • Scientific rigor
  • The complexity of the used research methodology
  • Contribution to the development of knowledge in the field of management and / or managerial practice (evidenced by the existence of a distinct chapter / subchapter regarding the current state of knowledge and a subsequent subchapter related to the contribution to the development of knowledge)
  • Originality and creativity,
  • Balanced illustration of content through figures and tables.
  • The variety of bibliographic references and the rigor of the citation style used.
  • The qualification obtained by the thesis at the time of public support
  • The prestige of the commission before which the doctoral thesis was supported
  • Dissemination of research results by publishing at least 6 articles in journals, of which at least 2 ISI articles with non-impact factor and participation in at least 3 international conferences.

ARTICLE 5

The prizes are presented by the president RASM.

ARTICLE 6


This Regulation shall enter into force from 2016.

The present methodology was elaborated by the vice-president RASM, PhD. Prof. Ion Popa and approved by the Board of Directors RASM (decision 9) in the meeting of 27.05.2016 from the University of Oradea.

At the same meeting, the composition of the Commission for the evaluation of works (PhD theses and books) was decided:

  • Ph.D. Prof. Cosmin Dobrin – A.S.E. Bucharest,

  • Ph.D. Prof. Răzvan Nistor – U.B.B. Cluj Napoca,
  • Ph.D. Prof. Carmen Năstase – U. Stefan Cel Mare Suceava.
